The Gilmore Car Museum Event!
A "get-to-know-us" reception was held on the evening of November 6, 2019 at the Gilmore Car Museum for current donors and community members wanting to find out more about the Foundation. Attendees had an opportunity to interact with grant recipients and learn more about our scholarships, discovering just how much we do to enhance and expand education at Gull Lake Community Schools. Judging by the comments of those who have long supported the Foundation and those who wanted more information, people were surprised and very pleased with the depth and breadth of our work. Scholarships for High School Seniors
Jill adamski memorial scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2018-2019 by family and friends to honor the memory of Jill Adamski. Jill loved the Gull Lake Community and everyone in it. This was shown through her generosity, compassion, and kindness to everyone she came in contact with. Jill was a staunch supporter of public education and Gull Lake Community Schools, serving on the school board (2003-2014) where she was past president, on the Gull Lake Community Schools Foundation (2014-2018), and working tirelessly to ensure passage of the school bond. Jill’s kids (Haley, Kelsey, and Jeffrey) are Gull Lake High School graduates, and Jill was an enthusiastic supporter of Gull Lake athletics, watching her kids every game and driving for practices. Jill was the Membership Director for the Sherman Lake YMCA (2008-2018) and particularly enjoyed coordinating the Y’s annual event, “The Shermanator”. Jill’s door was always open for family and friends to gather, swim, laugh, and love. Jill was a Spartan to her core and avidly followed Michigan State football and basketball.
