2023-2024 Gull Lake Community Schools Foundation Scholarships for High School Juniors and Seniors
The Gull Lake Community Schools Foundation is honored to facilitate the following scholarships available to Gull Lake students. The funds for these scholarships are provided by the generous support of community organizations, individuals, and families.
All scholarships awarded are subject to full funding from our donors.
Please note: All of our scholarships require graduating from a Gull Lake school and earning a Gull Lake diploma. Scholarships that require a GLHS diploma are restricted to students graduating from Gull Lake High School. Scholarships that require a GLCS diploma also include those students graduating from Gull Lake Virtual Partnership and Gull Lake Gateway Academy, as well as Gull Lake High School.

Jill Adamski Memorial Scholarship
GLCS senior who is an active volunteer in the community; plans to attend an accredited college, university, or trade school; financial need considered.
Michael Bailey Memorial Scholarship
GLHS junior; minimum 3.3 GPA at the end of 1st trimester junior year; full-time enrollment in an accredited post-secondary institution upon graduation from GLHS; financial need required.
Laurie Makin Cartwright Memorial Scholarship
GLHS senior; minimum 3.5 GPA at the end of 1st trimester senior year; must be 4-year participant in Gull Lake Band and/or PAC; full-time enrollment in an accredited post-secondary institution.
Cross Family Scholarship
GLCS senior; minimum of 2.5 GPA at the end of the 1st trimester senior year; full-time enrollment at a 4-year university or college; students with diverse backgrounds and high school experiences encourged to apply; financial need considered.
Ells Family Scholarship
GLCS graduating senior with a minimum 2.0 GPA at the end of the first trimester senior year; planning to enroll part-time or full-time in an accredited trade school, community college, 4-year college or university in the fall following graduation. Students with diverse backgrounds, as well as students who have overcome impediments are encouraged to apply.
Fry Family Scholarship
GLHS senior; minimum 3.0 GPA at the end of the 1st trimester senior year; active member of extra-curricular club(s); participation in varsity athletics; community service; full-time enrollment in an accredited Michigan college or university pursuing a career in Business Administration, Engineering, Packaging and/or Supply Chain Management.
Garside Family Scholarship
GLHS senior; minimum 3.0 GPA with preference to students with 3.0-3.5 GPA at the end of the 1st trimester senior year; participation in school/community activities and part-time work history; full-time enrollment in a Michigan college/university; financial need considered.
Gull Lake Area Community Volunteers Scholarship
GLCS graduating senior; volunteer participation in the Gull Lake or greater Kalamazoo area; must be a resident of the GLCS district; enrollment in an accredited post-secondary institution.
Gull Lake Area Rotary Club Scholarship
GLHS senior; must exemplify the philosophy of the Rotary Four-Way Test and the Rotary Motto “Service Above Self;” enrollment in an accredited post-secondary institution.
Gull Lake Area Rotary Club Skilled Trades Scholarship
GLCS senior; planning a career in a vocational or skilled trade; must exemplify the philosophy of the Rotary Four-Way Test and the Rotary Motto “Service Above Self;" must attend a recognized, certified, and approved educational program.
Gull Lake Education Association Scholarship
GLHS senior; planning to pursue a career in education; enrollment in an accredited post-secondary institution.
Gull Lake Education Association Pathway Scholarship
GLHS senior; enrollment in an accredited community college or trade school pursuing a career of his or her choice.
Gull Lake Education Association Pekkarinen Scholarship
GLHS senior; planning to pursue a career that was inspired by a teacher; enrollment at an accredited post-secondary institution.
Kellogg Elementary School Scholarship
GLCS senior; must have attended Kellogg Elementary School for two or more years; enrollment in an accredited college, university, or trade school.
Ladies of the Lake Scholarship
GLHS senior; minimum 3.0 GPA at the end of 1st trimester senior year; planning to pursue a course of study related to traditional medical disciplines, research or wellness; full-time enrollment in an accredited college/university.
Jason Morse Memorial Scholarship
GLHS senior; minimum 3.25 GPA at the end of 1st trimester senior year; 4-year participant in Gull Lake Band; planning to focus on a degree in the medical or medical science field; full-time enrollment in an accredited 4-year college/university; financial need considered.
Olin Family Scholarship
GLHS senior; planning to pursue a career in education; minimum 3.0 GPA at the end of the first trimester senior year.
Parker Hannifin Engineering Scholarship
GLHS senior; minimum 3.0 GPA in core classes at the end of the 1st trimester senior year; planning to pursue a career in technology and/or engineering; full-time enrollment in an accredited college or university.
Pelletier Scholarship
GLHS senior; minimum 3.5 GPA at the end of the first trimester senior year; majoring in liberal arts or social sciences; full-time enrollment in a 4-year college/university; financial need considered.
The First Responders: Sergeant Collin J. Rose Memorial Scholarship
GLHS senior; minimum 2.0 GPA at the end of 1st trimester senior year; pursuing a career as a First Responder (police officer, fire fighter or EMT); full-time enrollment in an accredited community college, college, or university.
Mitchell J. Rossen Memorial Scholarship
GLHS senior; 3.0 GPA at the end of the first trimester senior year; must exemplify character through demonstrated leadership, hard work in academics, compassion, and involvement in extracurricular activities and volunteer work; full-time enrollment in an accredited post-secondary institution; renewable.
Darl Scott Golf Industry Scholarship
GLHS, Gateway Academy or Partnership graduating senior; minimum 2.25 GPA at the end of the 1st trimester senior year; must have worked in any capacity at any golf course for at least one season; full- or part-time enrollment at a college/university; full- or part-time enrollment in an accredited post-secondary institution; renewable.
Saylor Scott Memorial Scholarship
GLCS senior; planning to study in the field of medicine or education, especially those interested in special needs; full-time enrollment at an accredited community college, college or university.
Robert W. Smith Vocational/Trades/Engineering Scholarship
GLCS graduating senior planning to pursue a career in a vocation, the trades, or engineering; full-time enrollment in an accredited post-secondary institution; financial need required; renewable.
Marsha S. Tucker Scholarship
GLHS graduating senior with a minimum 3.0 GPA at the end of the first trimester senior year; planning to enroll full-time in an accredited community college, 4-year college or university in the fall following graduation. A dedication toward academics and part-time employment will be considered; financial need is required.
Jack Weber Memorial Scholarship
GLHS senior; minimum 2.5 GPA at the end of the 1st trimester senior year; must show involvement in athletics and exhibit a dedication and pride in their school, home and community, and leadership; full-time enrollment in an accredited post-secondary institution.
Zachary Wisniewski Memorial Scholarship
GLCS senior who has demonstrated a significant turnaround in their high school academics and/or behavior while facing personal obstacles. Recipients may attend an accredited training, certificate, or college program leading to an industry credential or degree. There is no application for this scholarship; recipients will be selected through a nominating process.
