Pelletier Scholarship

On December 27, 2012, Gull Lake High School alumni, Ryan Tobias and John Mittelbach, announced and celebrated the creation of the Pelletier Scholarship Fund with a kick-off party at the Kellogg Biological Station Manor House. Over 100 people attended the event to honor Phyllis Pelletier, who has been teaching at Gull Lake High School for over 30 years.
The goal of the Pelletier Scholarship Fund is to raise $25,000, which will enable a $1,000 scholarship to be granted to a graduating Gull Lake High School student who plans to pursue a liberal arts or social sciences major at a four-year university, the first of which will be awarded this spring.
Having raised more than $16,000 already, Mittelbach and Tobias hope to make this scholarship the most prestigious scholarship awarded at Gull Lake High School, like its namesake. “Our expectations are overwhelmingly positive. It is great to see the contributions from students just graduating and those who graduated several years ago. We are really excited to have started this, and we really appreciate the support of the community,” said Mittelbach.
The Gull Lake Community Schools Foundation will facilitate the Pelletier Scholarship. For more information about the Pelletier Scholarship Fund, please visit Pelletier Scholarship Fund on facebook.com. To donate, visit https://rally.org/pelletierscholarshipfund.
