Dear Kay,
Thank you so much to the Gull Lake Community Schools Foundation board for a beautiful evening honoring outstanding graduated and teachers who were significant in their lives. Thanks to you and Tim for taking the time to do the interesting bios you shared. Thanks to Karen for making the arrangements. Those teachers from Ryan who were named talked the next day about how inspired we were to come to school and teach. It was enriching to glimpse how we touch students’ lives — their minds and their hearts. Thank you for a wonderful occasion.
Sincerely,
Nancy Husk

Dear Gull Lake Foundation,
“Wow and “amazing” were some of the things the audience was whispering while the Native American Dance Theatr shows were going on. Everyone in the Miller Auditorium watching the show was amazed by how the actors were performing. The Eagle dance was very impressive especially the costumes! Wings made of real feathers were attached to the actors arms and they flapped the whole time! Personally, my favorite would be the Hoop Dance. The performers would use up to 12 hoops at a time for their dance! I truly enjoyed that performace. I would see it again any day!
Thank you so much for giving us money for things like this. You make school so much better!
Sincerely,
Christina
Dear Gull Lake Foundation,
Bum bum bum bum bum…Boom! As the Native American hit their drums the crowd got very interested. The hoop dancers were fascinating to me, like how they could do tricks with 12 hula hoops at a time! But how all the Native Americans dressed I had never seen clothing like that before it was amazing. I thought that it was really cool when the two Native American men had a dance-off. I’m glad I went to the American Indian dance theatre because now I know what real Native Americans look like and what they do.
Thank you for granting us the money for aesthetic education programs like this.
Sincerely,
Nick
Dear Gull Lake Foundation,
“You rock!” “Bravo!” “Encore, encore!” Last Wednesday Mrs. Ells 5th grade class, (that’s us) were in the audience at Miller Auditorium. There were so many things that I saw and or heard. Bum ba boom be bum…. The strong beat of the dance off is still buzzing throughout my mind. And the outfits were interesting and colorful. I appreciated the hoop dance because it was extraordinary!
So now I say thank you for spending your valuable time interesting us, because as you can see your time meant a lot to me and to us all.
Sincerely,
Victoria

Dear Foundation Members, Thank you for your generous donation to the 2007-2008 Destination Imagination program. We had kids from each of the Gull Lake Community Schools participate in D.I. this year. Destination Imagination was one of the programs whose funding was cut for this current school year. Your support of the D.I. program helped make it possible for 80 kids to participate. Destination Imagination would not have been possible without help from organizations such as yours. Thank you for your contribution.

Dear Gull Lake Foundation,
The hoop dancers of the Native American Dance Theatre were out of this world! In the hoop dance the two people with hoops were amazing. I thought they were amazing because how they picked up the hoops with their feet and danced with 10 to 15 hoops on their arms. I also enjoyed tha dance when the guy came out and played a really cool looking flute. From where I was sitting the flute looked like it was carved out of wood. In this one dance it seemed like these two guys ere in a dance competition. When one guy was dancing the other guy would watch and examine the dancer and vice versa. These are some details of the coolest dances I saw at the Native American Dance Theatre at Miller Auditorium.
Thank you for giving us the money for Aesthetic Education programs like this.
Sincerely,
Gabe

Nolan

Dear Gull Lake Foundation,
On Wednesday, November 7th I traveled to Miller Auditorium to see the American Indian Dance Theatre. My favorite part of the performance was the ring dancers. They were awesome. When I was watching the ring dancers it looked like they made a picture with the rings. Thank you for letting us watch the performance, it was a blast.
